[Core Day-ahead capacity calculation]: Increased minRAM on German CNECs
Dear Market Participants,
to strengthen the European cross-border electricity trading in these exceptional times, the German TSOs will increase the minRAM on their CNECs for the Core Day-ahead capacity calculation from 31% to 40.8% already from business day 16.11.2022 onwards (DA trading day 15.11.2022). The increase was originally scheduled for 01.01.2023 according to the German action plan but will be implemented 1,5 months earlier after close coordination with German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the German National Regulatory Authority Bundesnetzagentur.
It has to be noted, that the minRAM will be increased for the 1,5 months on a voluntary basis. It is still possible that the RAM must be reduced during the individual validation process by the application of IVAs so that for such cases not the full minRAM will be available to the market.
Kind regards,
