Core Special Days Calendar – Reference Program Creation
Information on the Core Reference Programs based on the Net Position forecast.
The Core reference programs are created from multiple data sources and mirrors the exchanges in the Common Grid Model for the target business day:
- Exchanges between two Core hubs are derived from the Core net positions in the CGM thus representing the result of the merging step of the Core capacity calculation process. The IGMs from TSO are created based on the Net Position Forecast provided by a forecast Tool.
- Exchanges on DC links are taken over from the IGMs
- Exchanges on Core-Swiss and Core-Italian borders are forecasted by the same forecast tool
- For other exchanges between all non-Core AC borders, a reference day approach is applied thus using historical scheduled commercial exchanges from a previous working day / weekend / bank holiday
The reference day is determined as by the following set of rules.
There are special days like bank holidays where this logic is not applied, and another reference day is used. These days are aligned between the TSOs and can be downloaded below for the respective year.
