On Tuesday evening, June 18, 2024, at around 6:45 p.m., gale-force winds caused severe damage to two 50Hertz extra-high-voltage lines in Lusatia. Near Gröditz in the district of Meißen in Saxony, a total of 17 electricity pylons of the 380 kV lines Ragow - Streumen and Preilack - Streumen, which run parallel in this area, were knocked over or severely damaged.
Until further notice, the lines with EIC 11TD8L560------Q, 11T0-0000-0043-3, 11TD8L562------A and 11T0-0000-0949-E are unavailable. This may affect available cross-border capacities and may lead to higher validation reductions.
